ABOUT

This is our final project for NYU's Intro to Game Programming class. This game is an endless runner, drawing inspiration from games like Subway Surfers, Jetpack Joyride, and the Dinosaur game from Google.  Try to get away from Dog Cop for as long as possible, but beware the speed gets faster and faster the longer you run. Pick up power-ups along the way to get increase your score and help you get away and avoid the pigeons that slow you down and the trash cans that'll stop you dead in your tracks. All assets in this game except the SFX are made by us. To jump simply tap the screen and if you swipe downwards on the screen you'll fall straight to the ground.

Enjoy!

You guys did a fantastic job making an infinite runner. I think the visuals for the power ups and the things to avoid are very fitting with the game. In regards to clarity, I think you could have made the holes in the ground and the walls could be made more visible however, sometimes they feel hard to notice. The UI is excellent and very fitting. The game is very fun!

As someone who still plays Subway Surfers for hours on end every once and a while, I absolutely loved this game. I think your storyline is simple but opens the door for never-ending fun. The art and UI were great, but what really stood out to me was the power-ups. I feel like they are a key component of any game like this and they really enhanced the experience. I think this game is well-developed overall and I will keep playing myself!

I really enjoyed playing this game, the art is nice and I really enjoyed playing this game. I really liked that cut scene in the trailer which sets up the game and as you mentioned it would be nice to have it run inside the game too. But the UI looked great too, I liked how you had assets for even the menu buttons which made the game look even more polished. I can definitely see the resemblance to games like subway surfers and temple run!

This is an overall solid game, the art style and assets are cool, and it is my favorite part of the game. I also like that, although simplistic, your game has a story that sets up the gameplay scenario. The gameplay look is definitely an iconic one and I think it's fun your score system is good and works as intended. I think one area I would focus on if you were to work on this game more in the future is making more unique obstacles that stand out a bit more. The holes in the ground and walls work but with all the other cool assets in the game, they could stand out a bit more. Great Work Overall! (Kaya)
